Yongsan Station & I’Park Mall: Anime Goods, Food and IMAX Guide
For character goods, a meal and an optional IMAX film in one stop, head to I’Park Mall at Yongsan Station. The trick is to choose your shopping floors before wandering: start with the third-floor character-shopping area, then head to Living Park 6F for Gundam and Studio Ghibli merchandise.
Uncle Choi’s take: Come for the variety of anime and character goods and the distinctive atmosphere. These personal impressions and the supplied photographs are the local perspective behind this guide; store listings and travel logistics were researched separately using official sources. This recommendation does not imply that every product is exclusive or that the mall has Korea’s largest selection.
Store locations, hours and access information checked on 24 October 2026. Suggested durations are planning estimates, not a timed first-hand walk. Stock, collaborations, screenings and holiday hours can change.
Start here: station, map and shopping plan
Address: 55 Hangang-daero 23-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The map pin for this guide marks the Living Park building, not a shop counter, station exit or IMAX auditorium door.
- Arriving at Yongsan Station on Line 1: I’Park Mall is directly connected. Follow mall signs and then the directory for Living Park or Dopamine Station, rather than leaving for a different station.
- Arriving at Sinyongsan Station on Line 4: the mall’s directions recommend Exit 3, about 150 metres away. Sinyongsan and Yongsan are different stations; allow for the street approach and do not assume an indoor interchange.
- Only 60–90 minutes? Choose one shopping floor or a meal, not the whole mall plus a film. With 2–3 hours, combine both shopping levels and food. Add the actual film runtime and cinema arrival time separately.
Use the mall’s official location guide for your arrival and our Seoul subway guide for transit basics.

Which floor for which fandom?
For Nintendo and a broader character-shopping browse, start on 3F. Nintendo’s Daewon Shop relocated from Living Park 6F to Dopamine Station 3F in August 2025. Old sixth-floor directions can therefore send you to the wrong place. See the official relocation announcement and current shop channel before a special trip.
For figures and collaboration merchandise, also check Living Park 3F. MOFUN’s mall listing places it on 3F and lists 10:30–22:00. Good Smile’s official partner directory lists Good Smile Store BH on Living Park 3F. These are useful destinations, not a guarantee that a particular character or limited item is in stock.
For Gundam model kits, go to Living Park 6F. The official Gundam Base listing gives 10:30–20:30, extended to 21:00 on Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays. If you want a specific kit, keep a photo or exact model name ready; a visually similar box is not necessarily the same scale or edition.
For Studio Ghibli goods, stay on Living Park 6F. The mall lists Dotori Forest (도토리숲), its Ghibli character-goods shop, with the same 10:30–20:30 hours and Friday/Saturday/public-holiday extension to 21:00. This makes Gundam plus Ghibli a more focused short visit than searching every floor.

A practical 2–3-hour route
- Find your first shop before browsing. From the station connection, check both the floor and the building-zone name. “3F” alone is not enough in a large complex.
- Spend roughly 40–60 minutes on 3F. Browse the Nintendo/character-shopping area or focus on figures and collaboration goods. Photograph product labels for comparison, where shop rules allow, rather than buying the first similar item you see.
- Move to Living Park 6F for another 30–45 minutes. Pair Gundam Base with Dotori Forest. Skip this leg if neither interests you; more shops do not automatically make a better itinerary.
- Allow 40–60 minutes for food and navigation. Check menus and queues before committing. If you have a reserved film or train, choose the shorter queue and leave time to return to the correct entrance.
These are flexible planning allowances. Shopping queues, elevators and weekend crowds can make the same route take longer. A train departure is a hard deadline; a final shop is optional.

Food and shopping: budget by what you actually choose
I’Park Mall is a mixed shopping, dining and entertainment complex, not just an anime-goods destination. Its operator describes fashion, living, food and entertainment facilities. You can split up by interest and agree on a meeting point instead of making everyone visit every merchandise shop. Think of it as a mall with department-store-style shopping, rather than assuming a separate department store is the destination.
For meals, use the current directory and posted menus to choose between a quick bite and a sit-down break. Check whether ordering happens at a kiosk or table, whether drinks are separate, and whether your whole party can be seated before a film.
A useful spending rule: set a merchandise limit before entering, choose your meal budget from the displayed menu, and treat cinema tickets as a separate decision. Meal and ticket costs depend on your choices; check posted menus and the final booking price. For purchases, check the exact product, quantity, packaging and return conditions before paying; ask the store about any tax-refund eligibility rather than assuming it applies.
Adding CGV Yongsan IMAX: book the film, not just the cinema
CGV’s official Yongsan I’Park Mall page lists the cinema on 6F and confirms IMAX. Follow signs to the cinema complex, then use your ticket for the actual auditorium. A sixth-floor shopping stop and a sixth-floor cinema screening still need time between them.
- Check the venue and format. Select Yongsan I’Park Mall and an explicitly marked IMAX screening; not every session at the cinema is IMAX.
- Check language before buying. On the official booking page, 자막 means subtitled and 더빙 means dubbed. Neither label by itself promises English subtitles. Confirm the original audio and subtitle language for your exact session, especially for Korean or animated films.
- Let the session determine your route. Check date, start time, seat, final price and cancellation terms before payment. Foreign-card checkout has not been tested for this guide; if online checkout does not work, ask the cinema desk about availability rather than assuming a seat is reserved.
- Keep dinner flexible. A long restaurant queue is a reason to change the meal plan, not arrive late for the film.
Hours, outdoor breaks and the final check
The Seoul Tourism listing gives general mall hours of 10:30–20:30 Sunday–Thursday and until 21:00 Friday, Saturday and public holidays. Individual stores, restaurants and cinema sessions can differ. MOFUN’s later listed closing time does not mean every surrounding shop stays open until 22:00.

Before leaving your hotel, check the shop you care about most, your train or film deadline, and the weather. Keep an umbrella for Sinyongsan’s street approach and outdoor spaces. The strongest reason to choose I’Park Mall is the combination: character shopping, everyday shopping, food and cinema around a major station, without needing each member of your group to share the same hobby.
Editorial and photo note: Uncle Choi supplied the personal observations and photographs for this guide. Store locations, opening hours and access details were researched separately using the official sources above, checked on 24 October 2026. Route durations are planning estimates, not timed walks. Photo capture dates were not recorded, and the images do not establish current stock. This guide does not include first-hand tests of purchases, meals or cinema booking.
