The Hyundai Seoul to Hangang Park: A Yeouido Shopping & Bike Route
The Hyundai Seoul and Yeouido Hangang Park make an easy two-part outing: shop and eat indoors, then walk to the river for fresh air. Add a short family-bike ride if you want an activity without turning the afternoon into a long cycling trip.
Our local contributor recommends this combination after a visit: the walk felt short, shopping followed by a riverside stroll made a satisfying day, and even 30 minutes on a family bike felt enough. This guide turns that visit account into a practical route. Official planning information was checked on 31 October 2026; photographs were supplied with the visit account, but their capture dates were not independently confirmed.
Choose your version before you go
- Shopping + walking: allow roughly 3–4 hours, plus your journey to Yeouido. Browse the mall, have a meal, then spend 45–60 minutes by the river.
- Shopping + family bike: allow roughly 4–5 hours. Keep the ride to 30 minutes if you also want time to stroll, eat and stop for photos.
- Rain or strong wind: keep the mall portion and shorten or skip the river. The outdoor connection is not an enclosed mall-to-park walkway.
These are flexible planning suggestions, not timed tours. Crowds, children, shopping bags and weather can change the pace.
Start at Yeouinaru Station: use the right side for each stop
Yeouinaru Station (여의나루역), Line 5, is a useful anchor for the whole outing. Do not confuse it with Yeouido Station, or confuse riverside Yeouido Hangang Park with the separate inland Yeouido Park.
- Mall first: The Hyundai Seoul’s official directions use Exit 1. Walk toward Seoul Apartments, turn right at Gongjak Apartments, and continue toward the mall’s rear entrance. The address is 108 Yeoui-daero.
- Return toward the river: after shopping, head back toward Yeouinaru and follow signs for 여의도한강공원. Use marked crossings and the park approaches; do not cross the road wherever the river becomes visible.
- For the ride: return toward the park after shopping; the rental location and seasonal hours are below.
Budget around 10–15 minutes for the mall–station/park-edge connection as a planning estimate, then extra time to reach your chosen riverside spot. It is not an independently timed walk or a step-free route assessment. See the mall’s official access directions.

If rain makes the station-to-mall leg unpleasant, the mall also describes an underground route of approximately 500 metres from near Yeouido Station Exit 3 to B2. That is an alternative mall arrival, not a covered connection to the Han River.
Stop 1: shop and eat at The Hyundai Seoul
Start with the shops you actually want to visit rather than trying to cover every floor. Plan a food break before the park so your evening does not depend on finding a particular street-food vendor. Carry only what you can comfortably manage on the riverside; bulky purchases are a good reason to choose walking over cycling.
Standard shopping hours on the official mall site are 10:30–20:00 Monday–Thursday and 10:30–20:30 Friday–Sunday. The restaurant area’s general hours extend to 22:00, but individual venues and last orders differ; not every food counter remains open that late.
Check the closure calendar before travelling. At our 31 October check, the official calendar data listed 2 November 2026 as a closure date. That is a dated notice, not a repeating weekly rule or a complete future calendar. Check the official homepage again for your visit.

Seasonal installations and pop-ups can have separate access rules, queues or reservations. The display in the photograph is a record of the supplied visit, not a promise that it will be present or freely accessible on your date. Check the current event notice before making it the main reason for coming.
Stop 2: pick a riverside walk or a short family-bike ride
For the simplest finish, walk toward the water and choose a short out-and-back route. You do not need to cross a bridge or cover the full park to enjoy the river. Keep pedestrian and bicycle lanes clear when stopping for a photo, and bring a layer for exposed riverside wind.
Family bike: why we would start with 30 minutes
Our contributor reported ₩10,000 for 30 minutes or ₩20,000 for one hour for a family bike, and recommended the shorter ride for this shopping-and-walking combination. That price was shared on 31 October 2026 as visit information; the exact vendor and visit date were not independently established. Confirm the current bike type, permitted passengers and total at the desk before paying.
The official Hangang rental guide lists hourly rates of ₩20,000 for a family bike (two adults and one or two children), ₩3,300 for a single bike and ₩6,600 for an adult tandem. It does not list a half-hour family-bike price; confirm the contributor’s quoted option locally. These rentals are separate from Ttareungi bike sharing.
Where to rent and what to check
The Yeouinaru rental desk is below station Exit 2, at Yeouido-dong 84-4. Listed hours are 10:00–21:00 March–October and 11:00–19:00 November–February, subject to weather. Keep the rental slip, return to the same desk and settle overtime. Wear a helmet, stay on bicycle paths and never drink and ride.
Before paying, ask about availability, final return time, permitted route and passengers, child seating, ID/deposit and payment methods. Overseas-card acceptance and current ID/deposit requirements were not verified. Choose the actual vehicle before comparing prices; do not assume a wide family bike can use every path or bridge.
Useful question: 가족자전거 30분에 얼마예요? means “How much is a family bike for 30 minutes?” Follow with 몇 시까지 반납해야 해요? — “By what time must we return it?”
Evening food stalls: a bonus, not a fixed dinner reservation
Our contributor saw food stalls in the evening and enjoyed the atmosphere. The supplied photographs show lit-up snack counters around the park approach. We have not verified a permanent nightly schedule, a named festival or guaranteed vendors, so treat this as something you may encounter rather than an attraction that operates every evening.

If stalls are open, look at the displayed price and portion, check the payment method, and order only what you want to eat. Do not use prices visible in an undated photo as a current quote. If there are no stalls, have dinner at an open mall restaurant before leaving, or choose another nearby venue rather than waiting for vendors to appear.
A simple afternoon plan and budget
- Early afternoon: arrive at Yeouinaru, walk to The Hyundai Seoul, browse and have a meal.
- Later afternoon: walk back toward the park. Choose a 30-minute family-bike ride if conditions and availability suit your group, or skip the rental and walk.
- Before leaving: return the bike on time, enjoy a short riverside stroll, and use Yeouinaru for the trip home. Evening food stalls are optional.
The basic shopping-and-park route has no compulsory attraction ticket; purchases, food, transport and bike hire are extra. For the optional family-bike portion, the contributor’s reported 30-minute charge was ₩10,000 for the rental. Confirm the total for your chosen vehicle rather than multiplying an assumed per-person fee.
In winter, put the outdoor part earlier in your plan. In poor weather, spend longer inside and drop the park activity without treating the day as a failure. For other riverside options, see our Han River park comparison; for a different shop-and-picnic outing, try the Mangwon Market snack route.

Official access, hours and rental information was checked on 31 October 2026 against The Hyundai Seoul directions, its current homepage and closure calendar, the restaurant directory, and Seoul’s Hangang bicycle-rental guide. The route recommendation, short family-bike preference and evening-stall observation come from the contributor’s own account. This is not an independent test of a rental transaction, accessible route or present-day vendor availability.
