Myeongdong Kyoja: Current Address, Menu Prices & Ordering Tips
For a straightforward first meal at Myeongdong Kyoja, budget ₩12,000 for one bowl of kalguksu. Two people ordering a bowl each plus one plate of mandu should budget ₩37,000 at the listed prices. Before setting off, check the branch: the current main restaurant is at 129 Toegye-ro, beside Myeongdong Station Exit 8, not the old main-store address that still appears in some travel guides.

Two updates that matter before you visit
- The main restaurant has moved. In a notice dated 13 May 2026, the restaurant said the old main location had closed and its new-building location had become the integrated main restaurant. Its current listing gives 서울 중구 퇴계로 129. Search 명동교자 본점 and match that address rather than following an old saved pin.
- Kongguksu has finished for 2026. The generic menu labels these cold soybean noodles “April–October,” but a newer notice says sales ended on 11 October 2026. Do not plan an October-end visit around this dish. Restaurant notices on Naver.

What to order, and how much to budget
The restaurant’s own Naver menu lists these prices. The menu’s update label is 4 December 2025; we checked the live listing on 26 October 2026. Confirm the displayed price when ordering.
- Kalguksu / 칼국수 — ₩12,000: noodles in chicken broth. Start here if you want the hot noodle soup rather than a spicy mixed-noodle dish.
- Mandu / 만두 — ₩13,000: dumplings with pork and vegetables; the menu also identifies sesame oil. Treat this as an extra dish when calculating your total, not an included side.
- Bibim-guksu / 비빔국수 — ₩12,000: noodles with a spicy, sour sauce and sesame oil. Choose this for a different texture and seasoning, not as a mild alternative to the soup.
- Kongguksu / 콩국수 — listed at ₩13,000, season ended: the newer seasonal closure notice takes precedence over the general seasonal label.
Three simple orders
- One person, one main: one kalguksu, ₩12,000. Adding mandu makes the bill ₩25,000, so do not order both automatically just to try everything.
- Two people, a bowl each: two kalguksu, ₩24,000. One kalguksu plus one bibim-guksu has the same total if both diners are happy with the different flavors.
- Two people who also want dumplings: two ₩12,000 noodle dishes plus one mandu, ₩37,000 total, or ₩18,500 each if split equally.
These totals are arithmetic from individual menu prices, not bundles or a guarantee about appetite. If you want to share fewer dishes, ask about the restaurant’s current ordering and refill rules before deciding; we have not verified a per-person minimum or unlimited-refill entitlement.
Find the correct entrance and avoid the last-order trap
For the main restaurant, use Line 4 to Myeongdong Station and follow signs for Exit 8. The operator lists the restaurant immediately nearby at 129 Toegye-ro. Open the current main-store listing before walking, and match the Korean name 명동교자 본점 and address on your map. The restaurant also refers to a separate No. 1 branch; do not assume every “Myeongdong Kyoja” result is the same entrance.
Our map pin marks the current main-store building, not a surveyed entrance. Use the operator listing and street signs for the final approach.
Listed hours are 10:30–21:00 daily, with no afternoon break. The restaurant’s notice defines the 20:30 last order by when you are seated. Joining a queue at 20:29 does not secure dinner. Leave a margin before that cutoff, especially if you have another booking afterward. We cannot promise a particular waiting time or a queue-free hour.
Plan an ordinary small-party visit as a walk-in. The operator separately allows inquiries for groups of at least 30 on weekdays after 14:30. It lists no customer parking at its branches; taking the subway is the simpler starting plan.
At the restaurant: an easy ordering checklist
- Tell staff your party size before choosing seats. “한 명이에요” means “One person”; “두 명이에요” means “Two people.” Follow the staff’s seating direction rather than assuming an empty table is available.
- Show the Korean dish name and quantity. For one bowl, “칼국수 하나 주세요.” For two bowls and one plate of dumplings, “칼국수 두 개와 만두 하나 주세요.” Confirm that the total matches your intended order.
- Ask ingredient questions before paying. The broth contains chicken, and the mandu contains pork. The listed sesame oil matters for sesame avoidance. A noodle or vegetable-looking dish is not proof that it meets your dietary needs.
- Follow the payment directions given there. We have not verified a compulsory kiosk, English screen, current foreign-card acceptance or the exact pay-before/after sequence. Keep a backup payment method; ask “먼저 계산하나요?” for “Do I pay first?” if unsure.
- Ask before taking food away. The operator says only mandu is available for takeaway. Do not build a hotel noodle-dinner plan around a takeaway option that is not offered.
When another meal may fit better
This is a short-menu noodle-and-dumpling choice, not a broad menu for every dietary requirement. No complete allergen or shared-preparation statement was available in the checked operator information. Do not assume the dishes are vegetarian, halal, gluten-free or safe for a particular allergy. If staff cannot confirm what you need, choose another restaurant rather than guessing.
If your group wants to linger over a grill, see our Korean BBQ ordering guide. If you only need a lighter breakfast or snack, compare Isaac Toast’s menu and locations. For the broader choice between noodles, soup, chicken and barbecue, start with Uncle Choi’s five first-trip food picks.
Save this before leaving your hotel
