Seoul BBQ Festival 2026: Free Entry, Food Costs & Nanji Shuttle Guide
Event dates: 24–25 October 2026 only. This guide covers the 2026 Seoul BBQ Festival at Nanji Campground, not a year-round attraction. Details checked on 24 October 2026. Do not use these dates or prices for a later edition.
The key decision is not whether to buy an entrance ticket: general admission is free. It is whether you want to buy prepared food and picnic or reserve a table and cook your own barbecue. For a visitor without a reservation, the prepared-food route is the simpler starting point.
Choose your visit: food stalls or a reserved grill
Self-grill walk-in places are limited and may sell out; admission does not guarantee a cooking table. Official admission and reservation FAQ.

What costs money, and how to order
The advertised self-grill charge is ₩20,000 per charcoal-grill table or ₩10,000 per gas-griddle table, not per person. Meat and leafy vegetables cost extra. Cooking equipment, utensils, reusable tableware, seasoning and water are included. Do not mistake the table charge for a complete meal price.
For prepared food, the BBQ Village operates 12:00–19:30. Order and pay at the on-site kiosk, then collect your food. The organizer also lists free, first-come seating in the Coca-Cola dining area. Official BBQ program and table fees.
We could not verify a complete priced menu, foreign-card acceptance or an English kiosk interface. Before paying, check the displayed portion and total; ask staff if your card or the ordering screen is unclear. Useful Korean: “이 가격은 한 접시 가격인가요?” means “Is this price for one plate?” and “주문한 음식은 어디서 받나요?” means “Where do I collect my order?”
For budgeting, keep three separate lines: table fee if cooking, food and drinks, and your journey to the shuttle stop. There is no verified all-inclusive meal budget here. A solo visitor or couple can avoid a fixed grill-table charge by buying prepared food instead.
Reservations and the earlier food closing time
Seoul’s official announcement lists three self-grill sessions: 12:00–14:30, 15:00–17:30 and 18:00–20:30, with reservations through Naver. Start with the organizer’s website and its booking link; check the correct day, grill type and party conditions before paying. We have not verified remaining inventory or whether a visitor without a Korean account can complete booking. Seoul city announcement.
The FAQ says arriving at least one hour after your reserved time is treated as a no-show without a refund. Aim to reach the venue before your session, allowing for shuttle queues.
Do not plan a 20:00 food-stall dinner. The organizer’s FAQ gives overall hours of 12:00–21:00, while FUNSeoul lists a 20:30 finish. More importantly, prepared-food service is listed only until 19:30 and the final grill session ends at 20:30. Individual items may run out earlier.
Getting to Nanji Campground
Use 난지캠핑장 (Nanji Campground), 28 Hangangnanji-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul as your destination. The map pin for this article marks the campground, not a station exit or a precise shuttle boarding bay. Official venue directions.
The most straightforward route to explain is the festival shuttle from Digital Media City (DMC) Station, Exit 2. The organizer currently says the shuttle is free, with approximately 15 minutes outbound and 25 minutes returning via Peace Park. Those are ride estimates, not a promise about waiting time.
A second route serves Mangwon Hangang Park Parking Lot 1, taking roughly 20 minutes outbound and 10 minutes returning. The published regular last departure from the campground is 21:00; although extra late runs are listed, plan to be at the stop before 21:00 rather than relying on them. Check the official shuttle stops and timetable on the day. Avoid older third-party fare information: the current organizer page says free.

A practical no-reservation route
- Before leaving: check the organizer’s notices, weather and return shuttle. Save the campground’s Korean name.
- On arrival: enter as a general visitor, inspect the BBQ Village menu and prices, then choose what to buy. Do not join a self-grill check-in queue unless that is your plan.
- After ordering: follow the collection instructions, find an available eating spot and return reusable dishes as directed. Public seating is not guaranteed.
- Before heading home: leave time to reach the correct shuttle stop. If food is the reason for your visit, arrive well before the 19:30 food-service end rather than treating closing time as an arrival target.
This is an outdoor campsite outing, not a weatherproof food hall. The FAQ says rain does not automatically cancel the event, but locations may change; check same-day notices. Personal tents and shade structures are restricted. Outside food and alcohol are allowed, but alcohol is not sold on site. Bring a warm layer for the evening and avoid carrying more than you want to manage around picnic seating.
Photo and reporting note: The photographs were supplied by SeoulTravelNow’s owner for this article. Exact capture dates are not recorded in the supplied file metadata; the entrance sign identifies the 2026 edition. This guide combines those photographs with official information checked on 24 October 2026, not an independently tested meal, payment or reservation review.
